The advent of computer graphics is as revolutionary as Gutenberg's press. We are so lucky to be working in such a time. Like the tape recorder and the camera before it, the computer has scattered art to the people like so much chaff. Soon we will all be very much richer for it.

Despite Milton Glaser's worries that the computer has cut off a wellspring of inspiration to the contemporary Graphic Artist, Desktop Publishing has actually freed it from the cloister of academia. Graphic Arts, like its cousin Architecture, are now orbiting Engineering's sphere rather than the star of Art. This is right.

Here are a few tips in controlling some of the issues involved in creating graphics on computer.
